Truely a hole in the wall spot. People cram in here to enjoy some seriously delicious traditional breakfast diner food. Walking down 4th street you will miss it if you're not looking for it.
But don't let the small size fool you! Prices are killer, menu is huge, and the even have a Greek Lamb Omelet! What??The corned beef combo plate is the best corned beef in town, hands down. Unlike other restaurants this place uses REAL corned beef brisket, not canned. Delicious is an understatement.
As we sat and enjoyed our food, we couldn't help but notice how well the staff worked with each other and around the small restaurant. Efficient like a well oiled machine! Anna took great care of us, constantly checking in and refilling our coffee. If you are in San Rafael, you must try Lundy's!! -

One of my favorite spots in San Rafael, truly a gem and the perfect breakfast place.
Great service from an awesome team of friendly, hardworking folk. Bottomless coffee, the french toast is amazing, but honestly all the breakfast foods are amazing. Chicken fried steak? Yes please!
The space is small, there are only a few bigger tables, but it's worth it for the awesome food. Only reason I don't go here every day is because I'll just keep ordering their amazing french toast until I pop! -

I love dropping in here for breakfast.
Great vibe in this busy little location. -

I cannot quite explain why I like this place so much. It might be because this feels like the closest thing to a diner in downtown San Rafael. I love that they open at 6am, so if you are an early riser and do not feel like IHOP, this is a nice option. The server is always pleasant, and there is no rush in terms of turning tables. No matter how busy they get, they give us time to enjoy our meal.
The parking can be tricky because it's on a busy corner downtown (across from State Room). That said, there is metered parking right out front if you get lucky. There is a long counter, and there are lots of two-seater tables along the wall. There are maybe four tables that seat 4 or 5, but it's tight, and a couple of them can get crowded when people keep walking in to put their names on the waitlist.
The Irish Breakfast is pretty awesome and comes with so much food! Definitely enough for two full grown people. The scrambles are also really nice, and they do not skimp on the ingredients. The coffee is decent. Most items on the menu cost about $12 per plate.
That said, the Mexican food is geared towards gringos. So if you like your Mexican food slathered in cheddar cheese and sour cream, cool. I am also a little bummed about the salsa, beans, and rice. The rice is super bland and isn't authentic Mexican rice. The beans are kinda dry and overcooked. The salsa tastes a little like Pace Picante.
Again, I am not totally sure about this place, but I keep coming back. So, I like it??? -

Our first time here was fantastic. It wasn't too crowded and we just sat ourselves. It's not the best place for a large group but for a party of two it was perfect.
I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was fantastic. I had my eggs scrambled and they were perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed them. The salsa and guacamole were great. Everything together was so nice.
My boyfriend ordered the pancakes and he really liked them. His eggs and bacon were also cooked well.
The service was quick and we were never left without coffee. Overall, great place for breakfast for a small group.
